We return to the BBC Proms for a Late Night Prom centred on listening, a shared experience that brings people together through sound.
Featuring Dame Evelyn Glennie, this programme brings together a wide range of musical voices, from the jazz-infused energy of John Coltrane and Duke Ellington to the stillness and intensity of Morton Feldman and Meredith Monk. Though diverse in style, each work invites us into a deeper act of listening to one another, and to the space we share.
At its centre is the world premiere of Wood Pigeon by Héloïse Werner, placing new music alongside a lineage of experimental voices.
Performed with the BBC Singers, this Late Night Prom becomes a collective experience, one that unfolds through attention, connection and shared musical presence.
